More About Our Historical Roots
Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Utah County
In 2008, Timpanogos Regional Hospital celebrated its 10th birthday. At Timpanogos Regional Hospital, there is much more to celebrate than just being 12 years old. We continue to celebrate a tradition of quality and compassion, words that our staff live by.
The history of Timpanogos Regional Hospital is one of continuous change and challenge. As Utah County grows, those challenges will only continue. As it has from the beginning, Timpanogos Regional Hospital will be here to meet the healthcare needs of the people of Utah County.
We have gone from a 45-bed hospital with limited services to a 105-bed hospital that continues to expand services while maintaining a very high level of quality and patient satisfaction. Over the last several years, we have added quality programs like our Cardiovascular services, Stroke designation, full-service Emergency Department with board-certified physicians, and much more.
Our women’s center at Timpanogos Regional Hospital offers a wide range of services, from the simplest exams to the latest in breast care. Today, the center performs nearly 200 mammograms a month. The Timpanogos Regional Hospital Women's Health Center has come a long way since 1998. We have a five-bed NICU with a 24-bed expansion that will be completed in the fall of 2011. This means that new mothers can have a real peace of mind knowing that they would be with their new baby without worry of transported to a different facility.
We take great pride in helping women through all phases of her life. Our emphasis is on services for the busy woman. One-stop-shopping provides a woman with a mammogram, clinical breast exam, bone density screening, and comprehensive blood work-up, physical exam, Pap smear and health education.
We are proud of our cardiovascular services. We offer a full range of heart health services that includes: open heart surgery, cardiac cath labs, and cardiac rehabilitation. Timpanogos Regional Hospital consistently ranks in the top quartile nationwide in average Door‐to‐Balloon time—the time a heart attack patient enters the door to receiving care to stabilization is quicker than national average. Timpanogos Regional Hospital also ranks tops nationwide in achieving zero vascular complications and treating coronary blockages. When you need heart care, remember that we aren’t bigger, but we are better.
